YOUNG ARTIST AWARD
2016 - 2017 Season
The Waxahachie Symphony Association offers music awards to outstanding Ellis County graduating seniors.
In January, letters will be sent out to all choral and band teachers in the Ellis County High Schools. That includes the private high schools. We also send letters to private music teachers. Home Schoolers are welcome to participate, but must be recommended by their private music teacher. We ask the teachers to nominate seniors that they feel are deserving of recognition for their musical ability.
The award (s) will be titled:

There are two categories, vocal and instrumental. The first place winner of each category will receive a cash award of $1,500. The runner-up will receive $1,000. The first place winner of each category will perform at a Waxahachie Symphony Concert. The runner-ups will also be recognized, but will not perform.
